Joe DeMaestri (Joseph Paul DeMaestri) was born on December 9, 1928 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1951 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1952, his rookie year, he hit .226 with 1 home run and 18 RBI. DeMaestri played for the Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Athletics, Kansas City Athletics and New York Yankees over the course of his 11 year career.
