Joe Crakes (Joseph Henry Crakes) was born on December 29, 1907 in Platte, South Dakota. Crakes attended the University of South Dakota. Crakes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1932 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.
