Joe Costello (Joseph Patrick Costello, Jr.) was born on June 1, 1960 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Stratford (CT), Costello attended Central Connecticut State University. Costello made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Raiders over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Joe Costello's best year.
