Joe Carpe (Joseph A. Carpe) was born on January 23, 1903 in Westville, Illinois. After going to high school at Westville (IL), Carpe attended Millikin University. Carpe made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Pottsville Maroons, Philadelphia Eagles, Boston Bulldogs and Frankford Yellow Jackets over the course of his 5 year career.
