Joe Carey (Joseph Carey) was born on November 14, 1895 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Lake View (Chicago, IL), Carey attended Illinois Institute of Technology. Carey made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.
