Joe Cannon (Joseph Jerome Cannon) was born on July 13, 1953 in Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 22, 1977 for the Houston Astros. In 1979, his rookie year, he hit .211 with 1 home run and 5 RBI. Cannon played for the Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 4 year career.
