Joe Cannavino (Joseph Patrick Cannavino) was born on January 20, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio. After going to high school at Collinwood (Cleveland, OH), Cannavino attended Ohio State University. Cannavino made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1961 was Joe Cannavino's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
