Joe Byler (Joseph Edward Byler) was born on August 25, 1922 in Republican City, Nebraska. After going to high school at Alma (NE), Byler attended the University of Nebraska. Byler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
