Joe Beauchamp (Joseph Scott Beauchamp) was born on April 11, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Rufus King (Milwaukee, WI), Beauchamp attended Iowa State University and Northwestern Community College. Beauchamp made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the San Diego Chargers. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time. Beauchamp also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1968 was Joe Beauchamp's best year, as he picked off 5 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
