Joe Allton (Joseph J. Allton) was born on September 7, 1920 in Claremore, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Claremore (OK), Allton attended the University of Oklahoma. Allton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
