Jocko Halligan (William E. Halligan) was born on December 8, 1868 in Avon, New York. He made his Major League debut on May 13, 1890 for the Buffalo Bisons. In 1890, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 3 home runs and 33 RBI. Halligan played for the Buffalo Bisons, Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 3 year career.
