Jo Shelley (JoNathan Shelley) was born on August 6, 1964 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. After going to high school at Warren (Vicksburg, MS), Shelley attended the University of Mississippi. Shelley made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
