Jimmy Richards (James Buis Richards) was born on October 28, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After going to high school at Garinger (Charlotte, NC), Richards attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Richards made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 2 year career.
