Jimmy Magner (James Edward Magner) was born on July 22, 1903 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, PA), Magner attended the University of North Carolina and Widener University. Magner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Frankford Yellow Jackets for his entire 1 year career.
