Jimmy Edwards (Jimmy LaRoy Edwards) was born on September 19, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Classen (Oklahoma CIty, OK), Edwards attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and the University of Oklahoma. Edwards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 1 year career.
