Jimmy Dygert

Born on July 5, 1884 in Utica, New York, Jimmy Dygert (James Henry Dygert) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 6 year career. Dygert broke into the bigs on September 8, 1905 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 2.70 ERA in 213.2 innings pitched in 1906, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jimmy Dygert's best season was 1907, when he posted a 2.34 ERA, won 21 games and struck out 151 batters.
