Jimmy Dewar (James A. Dewar) was born on June 17, 1922 in Oak Park, Illinois. After going to high school at Oak Park (IL), Dewar attended Indiana University. Dewar made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Jimmy Dewar's best year.
