Jimbo Elrod (James Whittington Elrod) was born on May 25, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee. After going to high school at East Central (Tulsa, OK), Elrod attended the University of Oklahoma. Elrod made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Jimbo Elrod's best year.
