Born on September 23, 1959 in Stockton, California, Jim Winn (James Francis Winn) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 6 year career. Winn broke into the bigs on April 10, 1983 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 5.23 ERA in 75.2 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jim Winn's best season was 1986, when he posted a 3.58 ERA and struck out 70 batters.
