Jim Tyree (James Edward Tyree) was born on May 30, 1922 in Sperry, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Capitol Hill (Oklahoma City, OK), Tyree attended the University of Oklahoma. Tyree made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Boston Yanks. He played for the Boston Yanks for his entire 1 year career.
