Jim Toy (James Madison Toy) was born on February 20, 1858 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1887 for the Cleveland Spiders. In 1887, his rookie year, he hit .222 with 1 home run and 56 RBI. Toy played for the Cleveland Spiders and Brooklyn Gladiators over the course of his 2 year career.
