Born on September 21, 1947 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Jim Todd (James Richard Todd) played for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 6 year career. Todd broke into the bigs on April 29, 1974 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.89 ERA in 88 innings pitched in 1974, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jim Todd's best season was 1975, when he posted a 2.29 ERA, notched 12 saves and struck out 50 batters.
