Jim Tipper

Jim Tipper (James Tipper) was born on June 18, 1849 in Middletown, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1872 for the Middletown Mansfields. In 1874, his rookie year, he hit .305 with 0 home runs and 19 RBI. Tipper played for the Middletown Mansfields, Hartford Dark Blues and New Haven Elm Citys over the course of his 3 year career.
