Jim Sweeney (James Joseph Sweeney) was born on August 8, 1962 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Seton-LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA), Sweeney attended the University of Pittsburgh. Sweeney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks over the course of his 16 year career.
