Jim Sundberg (James Howard Sundberg) was born on May 18, 1951 in Galesburg, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 4, 1974 for the Texas Rangers. In 1974, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 3 home runs and 36 RBI. Sundberg played for the Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers, Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 16 year career.

Most people believe that Jim Sundberg's best season was 1980, when he knocked in 63 runs.
