Jim Stifler (James Madison Stifler) was born on August 25, 1901 in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Peddie (Highstown, NJ), Stifler attended Brown University. Stifler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the Providence Steam Roller for his entire 2 year career.
