Jim Staton (James Brooks Staton) was born on May 23, 1927 in Ansonville, North Carolina. After going to high school at Greensboro (NC), Staton attended Wake Forest University. Staton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
