Jim Salsbury (James Woodrow Salsbury) was born on August 8, 1932 in Culver City, California. After going to high school at Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA), Salsbury attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Salsbury made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1958 was Jim Salsbury's best year.
