Jim Root

Jim Root (James Frederic Root) was born on August 17, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio. After going to high school at Libbey (Toledo, OH), Root attended Miami University of Ohio. Root made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1953 was Jim Root's best year.
