Jim Rockford (James Kyle Rockford) was born on September 5, 1961 in Bloomington, Illinois. After going to high school at Griffin (Springfield, IL), Rockford attended the University of Oklahoma. Rockford made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 1 year career.
