Jim Roberts (James M. Roberts) was born on August 23, 1900 in Somerset, Kentucky. After going to high school at Somerset (KY), Roberts attended Centre College. Roberts made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Toledo Maroons. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Akron Pros and Toledo Maroons over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Roberts also played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Cleveland Panthers the entire time.
