Jim Ricca (James Emanuel Ricca) was born on October 8, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Boys (Brooklyn, NY), Ricca attended Georgetown University. Ricca made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1954 was Jim Ricca's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
