Jim Phillips

Jim Phillips (James Jackson Phillips) was born on February 5, 1936 in Alexander City, Alabama. After going to high school at Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL), Phillips attended Auburn University. Phillips made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1961 was Jim Phillips's best year, as he hauled in 78 receptions, had 1092 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
