Jim Parque
[edit] Biography
Born on February 8, 1975 in Norwalk, California, Jim Parque (Jim Vo Parque) played for the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the course of his 6 year career. Parque broke into the bigs on May 26, 1998 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 5.10 ERA in 113 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jim Parque's best season was 2000, when he posted a 4.28 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 111 batters.
Parque was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski, Parque purchased two packages of HGH from him in 2003, and Radomski also gave Parque a bottle of Winstrol, which Parque said was "no good." Radomski produced two checks written by Parque, one for $3,200 and the other for $1,600. Parque's name, as well as an address and 2 phone numbers, were found in Radomski's seized address book.
Like many players, Parque did not respond to a request from the Mitchell investigators for an interview.
