Jim O'Mahoney (James John O'Mahoney) was born on March 29, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA) and Schenley (Pittsburgh, PA), O'Mahoney attended the University of Miami. O'Mahoney made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1965 was Jim O'Mahoney's best year.
