Born on February 9, 1945 in Hawthorne, Nevada, Jim Nash (James Edwin Nash) played for the Kansas City Athletics, Oakland Athletics, Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career. Nash broke into the bigs on July 3, 1966 with the Kansas City Athletics, and put up a 2.06 ERA in 127 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jim Nash's best season was 1968, when he posted a 2.28 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 169 batters.
