Jim Morrison (James Forrest Morrison) was born on September 23, 1952 in Pensacola, Florida. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1977 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1979, his rookie year, he hit .275 with 14 home runs and 35 RBI. Morrison played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Jim Morrison's best season was 1986, when he slugged 23 home runs and knocked in 88 runs.
