Jim Montgomery (James Brown Montgomery) was born on March 18, 1922 in Breckenridge, Texas. After going to high school at Moran (TX), Montgomery attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Montgomery made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
