Jim Merlo

Jim Merlo (James Louis Merlo) was born on October 3, 1951 in Sanger, California. After going to high school at Sanger (CA), Merlo attended Fresno City College and Stanford University. Merlo made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Jim Merlo's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
