Born on October 6, 1943 in Los Angeles, California, Jim McGlothlin (James Milton McGlothlin) played for the California Angels, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 9 year career. McGlothlin broke into the bigs on September 20, 1965 with the California Angels, and put up a 4.52 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jim McGlothlin's best season was 1967, when he posted a 2.96 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 137 batters.
