Jim Marshall (James Lawrence Marshall) was born on December 30, 1937 in Danville, Kentucky. After going to high school at East (Columbus, OH), Marshall attended Ohio State University. Marshall made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 20 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was Jim Marshall's best year, as he recovered 4 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
