Jim Mallory (James Baugh Mallory) was born on September 1, 1918 in Lawrenceville, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1940 for the Washington Senators. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 0 home runs and 14 RBI. Mallory played for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants over the course of his 2 year career.
