Jim Maler (James Michael Maler) was born on August 16, 1958 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1981 for the Seattle Mariners. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .226 with 4 home runs and 26 RBI. Maler played for the Seattle Mariners for his entire 3 year career.
