Born on January 24, 1896 in Greensburg, Louisiana, Jim Lindsey (James Kendrick Lindsey) played for the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 9 year career. Lindsey broke into the bigs on May 1, 1922 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 6.02 ERA in 83.2 innings pitched in 1922, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jim Lindsey's best season was 1931, when he posted a 2.77 ERA.
