Jim Lankas (James Jarrett Lankas) was born on August 26, 1918 in Atwood, Kansas. After going to high school at Canon City (CO), Lankas attended St. Mary's College of California. Lankas made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1943 was Jim Lankas's best year.
