Jim Kovach (James J. Kovach) was born on May 1, 1956 in Parma Heights, Ohio. After going to high school at Valley Forge (Parma Heights, OH), Kovach attended the University of Kentucky. Kovach made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Jim Kovach's best year.
