Jim Kendrick (James Marcellus Kendrick) was born on August 22, 1893 in Hillside, Texas. After going to high school at Douglas-Shuler Academy (Waco, TX), Kendrick attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Kendrick made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Toledo Maroons. He played for the Buffalo Rangers, New York Giants, Rochester Jeffersons, Chicago Bears, Louisville Brecks and Toledo Maroons over the course of his 6 year career.
