Jim Kanicki (James H. Kanicki) was born on December 17, 1941 in Bay City, Michigan. After going to high school at Central (Bay City, MI), Kanicki attended Michigan State University. Kanicki made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Jim Kanicki's best year.
