Jim Hunt (Jimmie Lee Hunt) was born on October 5, 1938 in Atlanta, Texas. After going to high school at Booker T. Washington (Texarkana, TX), Hunt attended Prairie View A&M University. Hunt made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Boston Patriots. He played in the AFL for 10 years, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time. Hunt also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time.

Most people believe that 1963 was Jim Hunt's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
