Jim Howell (James Lee Howell) was born on September 27, 1914 in Lonoke, Arkansas. After going to high school at Lonoke (AR), Howell attended the University of Arkansas. Howell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1940 was Jim Howell's best year.
